System Backup and Resilience
Estimated reading time: 1 minute
Responsibility for backups lies with the client and it is highly recommended that a robust backup regime is put in place, especially in the case where call recordings are held for regulatory purposes.
This section addresses CallStash as a Virtual Machine (VM).
For resiliency it is highly recommended that the attached storage for call recordings is configured from a resilient system, for example a high capacity RAID configuration. This should be configured such that individual disk failures do not cause loss of data. It is also important that such a storage array is actively monitored such that disk failures are identified and remedial action taken. As a minimum it is recommended that the CallStash storage array is backed up or replicated to offsite media.
The level of resiliency should be determined by the client organisation based on the value of the call recordings.
